The Education Department of Chicago Children’s Theatre aims to empower the next generation of performers, innovators, and collaborators. Led by experienced teaching artists passionate about championing young people’s stories, our programs emphasize student authorship, youth empowerment, and community leadership. Courses combine classic theatre training with innovative explorations of related disciplines, introducing children to the many ways we communicate through art. From devising original plays to stop-motion animation, from hip-hop to puppetry, from comic-book making to musical theatre, CCT has a role for every child to play.
We are dedicated to providing scholarships to families with a demonstrated need. Thanks to our community of donors, we are able to offer financial aid to 40% of participants.
