Chicago Children’s Theatre’s classes for students in Grades K-2 engage their boundless creativity and encourage the practice of collaboration, both onstage and off. Classes focus on building basic theatre skills and social emotional skills. Each session features a mini performance for friends and family on the final day of class!

Designed for youth on the autism spectrum with a participating grown-up, this highly-interactive creative drama class will get the whole family moving and imagining! Bond with your little one through creative drama, music, and multisensory activities, while supporting your child’s motor development, communication skills, self-confidence, and blossoming creative spirit.

In this class for young music lovers, get ready to sing and dance along to favorite musicals, from recent movie musicals to Broadway classics. From Wicked to Frozen, we'll sing our favorite musicals to life while dipping our toes into foundational music skills. In this special spring fling workshop, you and your child will get a taste of what musical theatre is all about - you’re guaranteed to leave with a song or two stuck in your head!

Calling all cats, dogs, and animal lovers of all species! In this special storytime workshop, we’ll explore the animal world through folk tales that we will act out using multi-sensory creative drama and music. Taught by one of our expert early childhood educators, this is a perfect way to get a taste of theatre fun before summer begins!
