Chicago Children’s Theatre’s classes for students in Grades K-2 engage their boundless creativity and encourage the practice of collaboration, both onstage and off. Classes focus on building basic theatre skills and social emotional skills. Each session features a mini performance for friends and family on the final day of class!

Designed for youth on the autism spectrum with a participating grown-up, this highly-interactive creative drama class will get the whole family moving and imagining! Bond with your little one through creative drama, music, and multisensory activities, while supporting your child’s motor development, communication skills, self-confidence, and blossoming creative spirit.

Roar with lions and play with monkeys in this fun-filled class for young music lovers! We'll bring our favorite stories of the jungle to life through song, movement, and plenty of jungle jams, all while learning foundational acting and music skills. The last day of class will culminate in a jungle jamboree performed right in your classroom!

Calling all explorers to the concrete jungle! Through multi-sensory creative drama and movement activities, you will scale skyscrapers, travel on the train, and create your own city stories. On the final day of class, we will share our city adventures with family and friends in a mini performance!

Calling all explorers to the concrete jungle! It’s time to become your city’s heroes as you act out scenes, level up your stage skills, and imagine a city your own way. You’ll identify community issues, and use scene work and character creation to rehearse solutions. The last day of class will culminate in the opening (and closing) of your ensemble’s original city story performed right in your classroom!

Get ready to shake out the nerves and take the stage as a confident and collaborative performer! In this improvisational theatre class, you’ll learn to take action onstage with bold choices as you create characters, laugh-out-loud scenes, and confident unscripted storytelling. On the last day of class, the West Loop's newest improv troupe will host a mini improv show right in your classroom!
