Chicago Children’s Theatre’s classes for students in Grades 6-8 challenge young artists to tell stories from their own experiences and from the world around them. In classes exploring multimedia, film, devising, and advanced acting, young artists build artistic and life-learning skills to engage with art, media, and their world thoughtfully and critically.
Thursdays, 4:30-6 PM CST at Chicago Children's Theatre, 100 S Racine
From blockbuster movies to weather forecasts to TikToks, green screens are used as a multimedia storytelling tool everywhere these days! Get ahead of the technological curve with this acting and filmmaking class that'll have you experimenting with setting and environment like never before. During the final class, students will show off their screenwriting and acting prowess in an informal screening for friends and family.
