West Loop Classes-Grades 3 to 5

Chicago Children’s Theatre’s classes for students in Grades 3-5 push young artists to the next level of their craft. In classes exploring musical theatre, improv, and devising, young artists will hone their artistic chops, while acquiring life skills to confidently express themselves and collaborate with others.

Monday Night Live | Spring 2022

Live, from Chicago Children’s theatre, it’s Monday night! Create and perform in your very own sketch show filled with big stock characters, comical turns of events, and commercial parodies. In the last class, you’ll show off your hilarious sketches and favorite improv games to friends and family.

Triple Threat: Musical Theatre Tuesdays | Spring 2022

Are you the next Broadway star? Or is singing in the shower more your speed? Either way, Triple Threat will have you learning the music and dances from some of your favorite musicals. Through character work, movement study, and vocal exploration, students develop essential skills for taking the stage confidently and charismatically. This class ends in a sharing of selected songs and scenes for family and friends.


Elementary Acting Intensive
Runs Apr 26 - Jun 2, 2022

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30-6:00 PM CST at Chicago Children's Theatre (100 S Racine)

$450 | 12 sessions over 6 weeks, meeting twice per week

Are you ready to take your acting game to the next level? In this twice-a-week intensive, you will learn essential theatre skills to engage audiences on stage and beyond. This class will jump-start you to join the advanced ensembles that produce full-length productions in CCT’s Studio theatre each season. The last day of class will culminate in the opening (and closing) of an original story created and performed right in our classroom!
