Chicago Children’s Theatre’s classes for students in Grades 3-5 push young artists to the next level of their craft. In classes exploring musical theatre, improv, and devising, young artists will hone their artistic chops, while acquiring life skills to confidently express themselves and collaborate with others. Each session features a mini performance for friends and family on the final day of class!

Are you ready to take your acting game to the next level? In this advanced acting workshop, you’ll sharpen an essential theatre skill: nailing that audition to get your next big role. Through specialized instruction and monologue coaching from a professional theatre artist, you’ll build your onstage confidence and feel prepared for any audition. The last day of class will culminate in a mini audition showcase, where we’ll be joined by Chicago Children’s Theatre Artistic Director, Jacqui Russell.

Designed for young people on the autism spectrum, this lively theatre class will encourage you to take the stage as a confident and collaborative performer! Improvisation teaches students how to become un-scripted storytellers, develop listening skills, and communicate as an ensemble, all while stretching the imagination and having a ton of fun. In the final class, you will host your own mini-improv show right in your classroom!

Bam, pow, CRASH! This is your chance to join us for a special spring fling workshop where you’ll learn basic hand-to-hand stage combat techniques, taught by a theatre professional! Explore creative character choices, action-packed scenes, and serious skills as you gain confidence onstage.
