West Loop Classes-Ages 3 to 5

Chicago Children’s Theatre’s classes for students Ages 3-5 encourage young artists to embrace their innate imaginations and acquire basic performance skills through creative drama. In classes exploring creative drama, movement, and song, young artists build artistic and life-learning skills that will have them confidently expressing themselves and collaborating with others.

Sunday Story Jams: Around the World | Winter 2024

Cabin fever? Grab your little one and we’ll fly around the world in Sunday Story Jams! Through multi-sensory drama activities, we’ll act out our favorite parts of stories and myths from around the world, explore early music concepts, and use our imagination to travel far beyond the classroom. Experience the fun together, all while expanding your child’s social emotional skills, motor skills, early childhood literacy, and blossoming creative spirit.

 

 

 

Acting & Movement: The Circus Comes to Town! | Winter 2024

Calling all tumblers, ring leaders, and circus animals! Through movement-based drama activities, you’ll inhabit your favorite circus performers, parade around the big top, and take to the flying trapeze (while keeping your feet on the ground!). Build confidence in expressing your creative side while expanding social-emotional and motor skills, and having a ton of fun while you’re at it! On the last day of class, you’ll share some of your favorite parts of class with family and friends.

 

Acting & Movement: Hop Around with "Frog and Toad"! | Spring 2024

Through movement-based drama activities, you’ll bounce on lilypads, hop through the seasons, and learn age-old lessons of friendship inspired by classic "Frog and Toad" stories. Build confidence in expressing your creative side while expanding social-emotional and motor skills, and having a ton of fun while you’re at it! Designed for youth on the autism spectrum with a participating grown-up, this highly-interactive creative drama class will get the whole family moving and imagining!
