Catherine Councell

Catherine Councell (she/her/they) is a teaching artist and actor. She holds her BFA in Acting from Brenau University, and her MFA in Acting from the University of Iowa. Catherine is happiest when they co-create brave, inclusive, silly spaces. She is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid, and in trauma-informed consent-based practices for the theatre. They love the therapeutic benefits of theatre, physical storytelling, and devising based off of literature. As a teaching artist Catherine has worked at the University of Iowa, University of North Georgia, Aurora Theatre, Serenbe Playhouse, Chicago Children’s Theatre, Raven Theatre, Musical Chairs, and The Viola Project. Catherine is currently represented in voice over with NV Talent, and was one of the actors/puppeteers in CCT’s Red Kite Friendship Tour 2023. www.catherinecouncell.com
