Laura Fajardo-Riascos is a Colombian-American director, performer, and puppet designer who strives to create theatre for underserved audiences: lower-income children and families, minority communities, and neurodivergent and disabled children. She is a 2026 graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Spanish Language & Culture. During her time at Northwestern, she has explored different facets of TYA, including sensory theatre (Seesaw Theatre), Theatre for the Very Young, Bedside Pediatric Theatre, puppetry, and more. She has spent countless hours devoted to Seesaw Theatre as a cast member for two touring productions (Road Trip and POND!) and has served Seesaw’s Executive Board as Marketing Director, Spring Touring Director, and, most recently, Artistic Director. Laura plans to stay in the Chicago area to continue creating and providing unique, accessible theatrical experiences to young audiences.
