NEWS

Ages 7.5 – 11 | Program Length 1 week | Time 12 pm – 4 pm with the final show at 4 pm on Fridays
Tuition $300/child | Location Zoom | Financial Aid Available

Using the frameworks of legends and fairy tales, your child will learn the basics of acting, songwriting, singing, dance choreography, collaborative story development, scene and prop construction, and gain new, specialized skills as they work together to create an original story all while being in the comfort of your own home.

Camp will be held remotely. All you need is a smart device with the Zoom Application downloaded, your imagination, and simple, easily found craft materials from around your house.

Camp days will be a mix of online teacher instruction and offline work to get the creativity flowing and everyone out from in front of the screen.

So come make new friends and create a remote, one of a kind show. We will write, rehearse, and film our camp throughout the week that will then be edited together for a screening for parents, family, and friends to watch together via Zoom. The video will be given to families at the end of the week as a memory to treasure forever.

All experience levels welcome.

Families will receive instructions on how to login for classes following sign up.

Please contact Dexter Ellis at dexter@chicagochildrenstheatre.org with any questions you may have.

Acting for the Camera | June 29 – July 2

Ages 8 – 12 | Program Length 1 week | Time 12 pm – 4 pm with the final show at 4 pm on Friday, July 2
Tuition $300/child | Location Zoom | Financial Aid Available

An introductory to the skills required to use green screen technology, students learn to make wild and unimaginable special effects-driven scenes. With the guidance of CCT teaching artists, the group will collaboratively write their own mockumentary-style film then act in and shoot the film. We will then edit the film together and have a red carpet screening via Zoom where paparazzi from all over the world can join us. The only technology needed for this camp is a smart device to use Zoom on.
