Based on the beautifully-crafted work of Eric Carle comes a bold new spectacle featuring 75 larger-than-life puppets. Featuring the tales of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, The Very Lonely Firefly, Ten Little Rubber Ducks, and of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar – this new show captures the magic of Carle’s world.

Runtime: 60 minutes with no intermission
Audience Experience: Before and after the performance, we’ll have special activities for kids! There will also be a chance to take photos with your favorite caterpillar show friends.

In partnership with The Butterfly Company, Unltd we’ll be showcasing insect displays before performances of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show.
There will also be a presentation around the importance of the insect world, and entomology science basics followed by a 30 min Q & A while patrons explore world-insect cases. *Presentations will be given TWICE on each day, after the first play production and before the second on each day.

Chicago Children’s Theatre is conveniently located in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, minutes from I90 and I290, as well as downtown and Ashland Ave.
We are happy to offer free onsite parking at The Station on the south side of the building, entering from Racine Ave. Additional parking is also available in the following locations:
– Impark parking lot, located at 1301 West Madison Street
– On-street parking, metered at $2/hour, 3-hour maximum
