Bernadette Carter

Bernadette Carter is thrilled to join the Chicago Children’s Theatre as a Teaching Artist. Before moving to Chicago (she’s a Jersey Girl) she performed and read children’s stories to promote literacy at the Jersey City Public Library and the Jersey City Board of Education Public Schools. Bernadette’s Chicago credits include: Third Annual, Extraordinary Family Event, and the BOING Festival as a guest artist, In The End (reading of a new play by Sharai Bohannon) at The Newness – Edge Theatre, Neverland (Prop Thtr), Waltzing Mechanics Documentary Play Festival, Scarlett Letter (directed by Jess Hutchinson), Elivira: The Immigration Play (Collaboraction), Pool (No Water, directed by Devon de Mayo). Television Credits include Chicago Fire (NBC). Bernadette also teaches English as Second Language. Bernadette is a graduate of Ithaca College and is represented by DDO Chicago. (Bio as of 2020)
