Ben Raanan

Ben Raanan is a disabled director, educator, and advocate from Chicago, Illinois. Much of his artistic focus is centralized around telling honest stories about those with disabilities and mental illness.Through the medium of theatre, Ben’s mission is to create art WITH, FOR, and ABOUT those who are differently abled. Ben is a certified Hunter Heartbeat teacher and is a director for Flute Theatre America. In the past Ben was the Director of Education at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati. Favorite directing credits include: Falling, King Oedipus, I & You (The Theatre School at DePaul University), Antigone: Born Against, Eleemosynary, Bob: A Life in Five Acts (Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati), and Mockingbird (Falcon Theatre.)
