ON STAGE 2014-2015

Chicago Children’s Theatre is pleased to announce its new board president Eric Neveux, elected at the most recent quarterly board meeting in June.

Mr. Neveux has been a member of Chicago Children’s Theatre’s Board of Directors since June of 2012 serving in critical leadership capacities on the Finance Committee and Co-Chairing several ad hoc Special Event Committees. Most recently, his efforts have contributed significantly to Chicago Children’s Theatre’s construction, repurposing, and move into their first permanent home, The Station (the city’s former 12th District Police Station), in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood.

Mr. Neveux is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in Chicago. He is a member of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within the Investment Banking Division, covering a variety of financial institutions focusing on U.S. depository institutions. Mr. Neveux joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 as an analyst in FIG in New York, prior to being named Managing Director in 2011.

Mr. Neveux earned a BS in Finance from Indiana University in 2001, and in addition to serving on Chicago Children’s Theatre’s Board, he sits on the Finance Council of St. Clement Parish. He lives in Chicago with his wife Cassidy and their children, Max and Dash.

An exciting collaboration of Deaf and hearing actors, Pinocchio is a fantastical re-imagining of a beloved children’s tale utilizing extensive ASL (American Sign Language) that is seamlessly inclusive and accessible for all audiences 8 and up.

It’s a story many of us grew up with. But this boy marionette, toy maker, and talking cricket tell the tale in a way that’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.

Recommended for Ages 8 and up.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Brown Bear Brown Bearwith your little ones! This hour-long production presents a whimsical menagerie for the whole family, showcasing an imaginative blend of innovative puppetry and striking scenic effects which won international acclaim for the Nova Scotia-based theatre.

Performance Parlor – Celebrity Reader Series

Miranda Rae Mayo
Miranda Rae Mayo is a fierce young actress who has performed in several movies, and has had recurring roles on Pretty Little LiarsTrue Detective, and – currently – has a starring role on Chicago Fire as Stella Kidd.  She will be reading You’re a Hero Daley B by Jon Blake and Axel Scheffler as a Celebrity Reader on April 29th.
Participation is FREE, but space is limited and preregistration is required.
David Eigenberg

Eigenberg is best know for his long-running role as Steve Brady on the HBO sit-com, Sex and the City, and for his role as a firefighter, Christopher Herrmann, on NBC’s Chicago Fire.  His stage talents have also been showcased in the past on Broadway and, locally, at Victory Gardens Theatre. Join him on April 22 for his appearance as a Celebrity Reader for Chicago Children’s Theatre. He will be reading Sparky by Jenny Offill and Chris Appelhans as well as The Way Back Home by Oliver Jeffers.
