About this Show
Based on the book by acclaimed illustrator Giselle Potter, The Year I Didn’t Go To School: A Homemade Circus adapts her whimsical autobiographical work into a fantastical stage production for the first time.
Join seven-year-old Giselle and her sister Chloë as they spend a year traveling through Italy by truck, performing in their parents’ puppet theater company, The Mystic Paper Beasts. Get a glimpse into the childhood that no doubt helped foster her development as an artist.
CCT’s third world premiere in the 2016.2017 season, The Year I Didn’t Go to School: A Homemade Circus is sure to be a thrilling theatrical experience, combining circus elements and a unique story.
